Ashley Barnett 


    Ashley Barnett serves as the Youth Minister at St. Charles Catholic Church in Bloomington, IN. She works with teens in grades 6-12 from the parish and school community.

During her time in ministry and previously, Ashley has been active in public speaking and leading retreats. She has shared her personal testimony of being made fun of and excluded, and how these experiences as a young teen helped to shape her relationship with God. Because of this, the Theology of the Body is very significant to Ashley, and is a passion she desires to share with the young Church. Ashley has also presented on topics such as: the dignity of all human persons, Theology of the Body for Teens, bullying and cliques, the importance of a personal relationship with Christ, and more. 

Ashley has attended three Theology of the Body sessions with Christopher West, and is currently working towards a full certification with the Theology of the Body Institute.

Ashley is a graduate of Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. She currently lives in Bloomington, IN, and is originally from St. Louis, MO. In addition to ministry, Ashley is grateful for simple joys such as the St. Louis Cardinals, Chick-fil-A, and her family.


 Maria Cossell


Maria Cossell is a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, where she teaches religion and social tudies to sixth graders.  At Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Maria incorporates Theology of the Body into the religion curriculum for her students.

Maria has attended Theology of the Body Head and Heart I presented by Bill Donaghy at the Theology of the Body Institute.  She has also attended the training for Theology of the Body for Teens: Middle School Edition presented by Brian Butler.  For two summers she has worked with Brian Butler to help lead Camp ECHO, a Theology of the Body Camp for teens.  Her focus is presenting Theology of the Body to middle school and high school students.

Maria has a double major in elementary education and exceptional needs from Marian University, Indianapolis.  She is an alumna of Cathedral High School, Indianapolis.

 Brie Anne Eichhorn



Brie Anne Eichhorn is a native Hoosier born and raised in Indianapolis, IN.  She is currently a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Parish. She works as an ICU nurse at Community Hospital East. Brie Anne also is a FertilityCare Practitioner and teaches the Creighton Model FertilityCare System at the Kolbe Center in Broad Ripple.

She has attended Theology of the Body Head & Heart I and II led by Christopher West at the Theology of the Body Institute. She has given talks about Natural Family Planning and the Creighton Model to Family Practice and OBGYN residents at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis. She has also presented to engaged couples at One in Christ Marriage Preparation. She is passionate about John Paul II's Theology of the Body and loves spreading the truth of this Church teaching. Other topics of interest include Theology of the Woman’s Body: God’s truth written in our biology, chastity and modesty. She is also willing to create a talk based on interest and needs.

She graduated from Bishop Chatard High School in 2004 and graduated from Saint Mary's Notre Dame College in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Brie Anne loves to sing and currently sings at three parishes St. Pius X, St. Joan of Arc and St. John's as a cantor and in choirs.

Liz Escoffery


Liz Escoffery is a parishioner of St. Monica Catholic Church and is the Associate Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Additionally, she is a FertilityCare Practitioner Intern and is pursuing a Masters of Arts degree in Theology from St. Meinrad School of Theology.

Liz has attended Theology of the Body Head & Heart I with Bill Donaghy at the Theology of the Body Institute. Topics she is able to present include: Creating a Culture of Vocations in the parish, the Language of our Bodies, Natural Family Planning (Creighton Method), Fertility Appreciation, Chastity, Communication in Marriage, Miscarriage & Healing and Temperaments & Spirituality (to a variety of age groups).

She has a Bachelors’ degree in Political Science with minors in Spanish and Catholic Studies from the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota. She is an alumna of Cathedral High School, Indianapolis.

Liz married her husband Bill in 2012 and they reside in Broad Ripple. She enjoys being outdoors, road trips, gourmet cooking and British TV shows.

Matt Faley

      Matt Faley works as the Director of the Office of Young Adult and College Campus Ministry (YACCM) for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Matt is an Illinois native who served as a Catholic missionary with FOCUS, the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, before coming on at the Archdiocese in 2010.

Whether it be through writing, singing or speaking Matt uses this platform in hopes of re-invigorating the Gospel for college students, young adults, parishes... and anyone who will listen.

Matt attended three Theology of the Body courses with Christopher West and has plans to continue his training over the next 2-3 years.

             Lori Lewis




Lori Lewis is a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Greencastle, IN. She is a catechist for grades 5-12 in the area of chastity and John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. She is also the coordinator for the A Promise to Keep program at her parish.

During the past two sessions of the Catechist Road Show in the Terre Haute deanery, Lori presented on the following topics: the importance of prayer in teaching catechism, starting and maintaining a thriving chastity education program and engaging the parents of teens. Other topics of interest include conducting home-based, family-oriented chastity lessons and pro-life work.

Lori has attended two Theology of the Body sessions with Christopher West, one of them being the week-long Head & Heart 1 training at the Theology of the Body Institute. She has also received archdiocesan training in the area of chastity and family life.

Lori was the chair of the Respect Life committee for eight years and implemented the annual Life Chain at her parish during that time. She and her husband David have four children ranging in ages 7 to 16. She enjoys raising chickens with her family for fresh eggs and 4H showmanship, reading, cooking and fitness. 

Kara McCarthy 

       Kara McCarthy is currently a student at the University of Indianapolis pursuing an undergrad in Social Studies Education. She also coaches volleyball at Scecina High School and South Indy Volleyball Club. Kara played collegiate volleyball at the University of Indianapolis and St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA.

While facing many trials through her first three years of college, the Theology of the Body lens reignited her Catholic faith. She has attended Theology of the Body I: Head and Heart Immersion Course, Theology of the Body II: Into the Deep, and Theology of the Body III: The New Evangelization at the Theology of the Body Institute. Kara is ideal for teen audiences, and feels comfortable talking about any topic related to TOB, in particular chastity, cohabitation, and the Marian dimension.

Katie Sahm 

      Katie Sahm is currently the coordinator of Young Adult and College Campus Ministry for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.  She enjoys creating a welcoming environment in the church for young adults seeking to grow in their faith and find community in their parish home. 

Katie graduated from DePaul University where she studied Studio Art and Catholic Studies.  Over the years, she has been an independent artist, high school campus minister, and a theology and art teacher. 

She has a heart for all those struggling with their identity and worth as children of God, especially women.  “It is a difficult time to live as a confident woman of God; we are constantly fed the lie that our worth is based on what and how much we can accomplish, how sexy we can be, or our relationship status.  This way of thinking is so degrading.  I hope
to help others discover their identity as the beloved of God and find meaning and purpose through the call He gives each of us.” 

Katie can present on the following topics: the Gift of Femininity, Faith and Beauty, and Art and Theology of the Body.

Swiden Torres - Torrijos


Swiden Torres- Torrijos is a parishioner at St. Monica Catholic Church, Indianapolis. She has attended Theology of the Body Head & Heart I at the Theology of the Body Institute led by Bill Donaghy.

She has her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been married for 9 years to Miguel A. Torrijos and they have a 2 year old daughter named Swiden Elizabeth Torrijos.

Swiden can present in both English and Spanish on the topics of the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Baptism, and on Marriage Preparation.



Scott Williams


Scott Williams is the Coordinator of Youth Ministry at St. Jude Catholic Church on the south side of Indianapolis.  

Scott has been to the Theology of the Body Institute completing TOB 1, 2, and 3. He walked across the country in 2010 with Crossroads Pro Life, promoting the dignity and sanctity of all human life praying at abortion clinics and spreading the Gospel of Life from Seattle, WA to Washington, D.C. He has been active in Archdiocesan Young Adult Ministry for many years and is a 26 year old 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoys a good cup of coffee and always drinks local beer when it is available.

Scott's enthusiastic (and sometimes over the top) personality makes him an interesting and engaging speaker for any audience.   He has many years of public speaking experience ranging a wide variety of topics including but not limited to the following: Theology of the Body, Pro Life issues, Authentic Manhood, Sacraments in our lives, and Joyful living.
