Archdiocesan Youth Council
The representatives for the Archdiocesan Youth Council (AYC), exists to enable its leaders to share the Gospel message with their peers while developing their leadership gifts as faithful Catholics present to the larger Church.
What is the AYC?
The Archdiocesan Youth Council (AYC) is comprised of high school students from throughout the Archdiocese of Indianapolis who assist in the planning and facilitation of Catholic youth events. AYC serves as a leadership team that promotes youth participation in Archdiocesan activities as well as local parish involvement and strives to strengthen and excite youth in their faith.

Please fill out and return the attached application to Youth Ministry in the Office of Catholic Education. All applications must be received in our office by Thursday, January 30, 2014. They may be turned in to your youth minister, campus minister, or mailed directly to:

What Events Does the AYC Plan?
The AYC helps with specific roles in the planning and coordinating of some of the large Archdiocesan events each fall. These events include the Indianapolis Catholic Youth Conference (ICYC) and the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC). The AYC will also be involved with other youth ministry events throughout the fall and spring semesters. AYC members act as advocates for youth ministry and give witness to servant leadership through many other ministry opportunities. Members are also required to stay active in parish youth ministry and act as leaders for their peers.
