Substitute Teacher Permit Information

.

Effective May 2, 2011 the Indiana Department of Education moved to a new online licensing system called LVIS (License Verification and Information System).

The new system has been designed with enhanced self-service features to make it easier and faster for you to apply for and receive your Substitute Teacher credentials.

Please go to the Office of Educator Licensing website: www.doe.in.gov/educatorlicensing

You will be directed to the LVIS Portal.  Follow the directions on this site.

This replaces the paper application process.

In addition, the Office of Catholic Education does not maintain a substitute teacher database in the central office.  Please contact the individual schools where you have interest in working as a substitute teacher.  A complete list of schools with contact information can be found on the OCE website under Catholic Schools, School Locator/Info, or by clicking HERE.

Thank you.
