Campus Minister Position for 2018-2019

Providence Cristo Rey High School Indianapolis Description:

Vision: The campus minister will collaborate with the administrative team to develop programs and practices that deepen and expand Providence Cristo Rey’s identity as Catholic high school. Specifically, the campus minister will support the faculty, staff, and students in understanding and implementing the school’s vision of helping students become faith-filled, socially responsible women and men who will take the lead in creating a more just society and a more hopeful future for themselves and others. 

Job Description: 
• The campus minister provides a comprehensive school-wide spiritual ministry program to all students, including character formation, leadership development, and personal counseling to all students in need. 

• He/she has an appreciation of the school's mission, a commitment to the values of Catholic education and is comfortable modeling an active and inspiring faith life for all in the community. 

• Actively participates in the character formation of every PCRHS student by creating a culture of spirituality, achievement, goal setting, and high expectations. 

• Plans and implements a comprehensive and cohesive retreat program for all grade levels. 

• Creates a school culture that model’s Christ’s commitment to serving those in need through organizing and monitoring a school-wide service program. 

• Deepens the school’s commitment to prayer through leading daily prayer, organizing regularly-celebrated Masses, and educating the entire Providence Cristo Rey community about the value of prayer. 

• Teaches Senior Theology courses (up to half time teaching and half time campus ministry)

Job Qualifications 
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; 
• Active and practicing member of the Roman Catholic Church; 
• 18 credit hours in Theology or Bachelor's degree in Theology; 
• Minimum one year experience working in youth ministry at a Catholic parish or school; 
• Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm, openness, and dedication; as well as interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
